My old studio was located in Chelsea, Manhattan, and all the natural light was blocked by a building across the street. Whereas I lived in an apartment that only got 20 minutes of daylight every morning. Daylight became a very scarce resource in my life. So I took the daylight from my apartment and reproduced it in my studio. It's so hidden that it only appears when one looks at it carefully. But it has always existed in a corner of my mind with a symbolical meaning.
